NEW DELHI, June 19: Three persons were murdered in separate incidents in the capital on Thursday night. An employee of a finance company was murdered by two unidentified assailants near Punjabi Bagh crematorium on Thursday night.

The police control room reportedly received a call that three youths were having a fight near the Punjabi Bagh flyover opposite the crematorium.When the police reached the spot, they found a man lying in a pool of blood. The deceased was later identified as 21-year-old Amit Kumar. A handbag was lying near the body. Preliminary investigations reveal that robbery might be the motive for murder. In a separate incident, a 21-year-old man was stabbed at the New Delhi railway station on Thursday night. Both the accused have been identified.

According to the police, the trio had a fight on platform no 12 regarding some financial transactions. The incident happened around 10.30 p.m. at an isolated corner on the platform. The deceased had multiple stab wounds on his body. In yet another incident, 33-year-old Shyam Lal was found strangled to death in Jashola village in Badarpur on Friday morning. The deceased was last seen consuming alcohol on Thursday night along with three of his friends. The Badarpur police have not yet arrested anyone in this connection. Investigations are in progress.
