CHANDIGARH, MARCH 18: Three UT employees, including personal assistant to Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Central) P. S. Gill, have been placed under suspension on the charges of alleged dereliction of official duty and disclosing secret official documents to the public.
The PA to Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Ravinder Sharma, was suspended for the alleged delay in the putting up of a file on the suspension of an employee of the UT Estate Offices to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate.
Sources said that Sharma’s suspension was ordered following the recommendation of Assistant Estate Officer S. M. Sharma.
Two other UT employees were placed under suspension for showing secret documents to a man whose identity is yet to be ascertained.
The two have been identified as Natha Singh and Kulbhushan Goel, who were working as Assistant Superintendents in the Home Department, at Sector 9 Deluxe Building.
It is learnt that the action was taken in anticipation of an anti-corruption drive being launched by the Administration on the directions of the Centre.
Meanwhile, panic gripped offices of the Chandigarh Administration, Estate Office and Municipal Corporation where employees refused to discuss matter related to official documents.
