CHANDIGARH, Dec 1: The CII has decided to peg Textech ’99 entry tickets at Rs 25 per person, much higher than for Woolex ’99, where the entry per person is Rs 5 only.

The high price of the entry ticket at the Textech ’99 aims at discouraging the general public from visiting it. The show has been designed as a technology show window for the textile industry and will have 35 technology exhibits.

According to the CII regional director, the fair is mainly for the business delegates who have been provided free passes. Hence, the sale of tickets is not expected to be high. Also, the price of the ticket is meant to deter the public, he said.

For the public, the industry chambers focus on Woolex ’99, a branded exhibition on wool and winter wear. According to CII, this fair is being held concurrently keeping in view the interest of the public.
