Nashik, June 1: Three tiger cubs were pulled out from a well at Dubere village by the forest department officials and sent to a safer place.

Forest department sources said the villagers had thrown the dead body of an animal in the dried well on Sunday night as they suspected the animal to have died of rabies.

Later, a hungry tigress along with her three cubs climbed down the well to feed on the carcass. However, after having her fill, the mother could come out of the well but the cubs were not able to climb out.

The villagers discovered the cubs in the morning andalerted the forest department officials who reached the spot and pulled out the little ones.
