The tiger is our national animal, but it is nearing extinction. We have only ourselves to blame we have indulged in clearing of forests and the illegal trade of tiger skins has gone unnoticed over many years now.
It is predicted that if efforts are not made to save the tiger, then it may well become extinct in the next 10 years. Tigers originally come from Siberia, but its best home is the Indian sub-continent. Around 4,300 tigers are found in India, today. Should we then not make an effort to protect our national animal the tiger?
