Team India’s injury worries turned to be good news for Bengal’s young middle order bat Manoj Tiwary when he was inducted as the 12th man for the opening ODI vs Sri Lanka on Wednesday. An excited Tiwary told The Indian Express: “This is a pleasant surprise. Last night I was at dinner at the hotel, and I was introduced by skipper Rahul Dravid and coach Greg Chappell to the rest. Later they took me upstairs and handed me the official shirt.” Likely the shirt is unmarked, Tiwary has yet to open the packet.
