The death of 16-year-old P.S. Ramu Abhinav at Mongappair seems to have dug out another case of suicide by 14-year-old Thoufeek, Ramu’s erstwhile scoutmate in Velammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School.

Thoufeek’s parents say the boy committed suicide two years ago by hanging himself from the ceiling fan after being harassed by school authorities. Meanwhile, Director of Matriculation Schools Narayanaswamy said an inquiry has been ordered into the incident and nothing can be said as of now.
