CHENNAI, July 6: The Tamil Nadu government has ordered the closure of the Sterlite industries Plant in the wake of the ‘purge gas’ leak that affected 90 girls working in a nearby factory, today. The victims suffered from vomiting, breathing difficulty and eye irritation, and have been hospitalised, according to sources in the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB).
