WASHINGTON, July 15: Luke Smith now knows he belongs on the ATP Tour.The 20-year-old Australian won his ATP debut here yesterday, outlasting India's Mahesh Bhupathi 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (9/7) in a first-round match at the $675,000 Washington Classic.Smith, the United States college singles and doubles champion at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, served 11 aces and saved eight of nine break points to win in one hour and 50 minutes in hot conditions.``It felt like I had 10 or 15 break points and he managed to escape every one,'' Bhupathi said. ``He played well on the big points.''Bhupathi has paired up with American Tommy Ho in doubles.
