BELGAUM , July 24: The new tourism policy of Karnataka is to place greater importance to development of tourism in the northern parts of the State, according to the state tourism minister, Leeladevi Prasad. She encouraged increased participation of private parties in promotion of tourism and urged the civil aviation ministry to link Belgaum, Hubli, Mangalore and Goa by air.
