Trade ministers of key WTO players today agreed to resume negotiations on the Doha round of talks that were suspended in July last year.
The ministers reached a consensus to restart global trade talks at a meeting held on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum here. The talks would be resumed in Geneva, but no timeframe has been set so far.
“The resumption of talks would be meaningful and should reflect the sensitivities of developing countries,” Indian Commerce Minister Kamal Nath said.
