Tree disrupts highway traffic

PUNE, Dec 1: For the third consecutive day, traffic on the busy Mumbai-Pune highway between Phugewadi and Kasarwadi was disrupted for over two hours on Wednesday evening.

Traffic was hampered on Wednesday because a tree near Forbes Marshall company had to be cut down. A truck had hit the tree last night because of which there was a danger of the tree getting uprooted. The garden department of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) undertook the work of cutting the tree at around 5 pm and this hampered traffic movement for the next two hours.
