Spurning Tata group chief Ratan Tata’s offer for talks with “reasonable” parties, Trinamool Congress leader Saugata Roy said the ruling CPI(M) and the Tatas were “singing in chorus” over the Singur deal.

The Trinamool Congress said its agitation would continue till the government returns the land of farmers who were not willing to sell out. The Trinamool seemed worried over Tata’s statement on Monday that rival business groups were fuelling the agitation. A Trinamool statement issued today did not refer to Tata’s accusation but sources said the party is worried that a person of his stature has levelled the same charge twice.
