VADODARA, Sept 27: A two-day convention organised by the Quality Circle Forum of India’s (QCFI) Vadodara chapter will begin at the C C Mehta Auditorium on Wednesday.

As many as 27 quality circles from Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan will take part in the convention and will present case studies on problems solved by them.

Safari Industries (India) Ltd president K E Shivram will be the chief guest of the inaugural session while managing director of Pune’s Ispat Profiles (I) Ltd Hemant Misra will preside over the function and deliver the key-note address.

Managing director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, Anand, B M Vyas will be the chief guest of the valedictory session while Executive director of Indian Oil Corporation’s Gujarat Refinery P S Rao will preside over it.

Leading industries from these three states — including FAG Bearings India Ltd, ABB, Gujarat Refinery, Apollo Tyres Ltd, Lakhanpal National Ltd, Baroda Dairy, Sumul Dairy, Laxmi Cement and IPCL Nagothane — will participate in the convention.

According to chapter vice-chairman N B Shah, the QCFI has also organised a pre-convention seminar on Tuesday at Hotel Express, where prominent personalities from various fields and industries will share their experiences. The chief guest at the seminar will be executive vice-chairman of Excel Industries Group Narayan; the speakers include Dean of Management Studies, M S University, Mayank Dholakia; IPCL director C M Lamba, Amtrex managing director Arvind Nair and consultant K N Murli.
