Two ISI agents, 4 others held in Kutch

The Kutch Police have arrested two Pakistani ISI agents along with four Indians when the two were escaping to Pakistan after circulating successfully

The Kutch Police have arrested two Pakistani ISI agents along with four Indians when the two were escaping to Pakistan after circulating successfully fake Indian currency notes worth Rs 13 lakh in India. They had smuggled into India fake notes worth Rs 24 lakh.

The two Pakistanis arrested are Abdul Khalik Taiyab Chavan, a resident of Kayamadi area of Karachi, and Abdul Gafoor Kasim Chaba. Of the four Indians arrested, three are from Kutch and one is from Mumbai. While Abdulla Adam Dosani alias Ibhalo Thingo, Ismail Yakub Chaba alias Ismail Kui and Suleman Mamad Chauhan are from Salaya village near Mandvi in Kutch, Saiyad Ahmed Amirali is from Mumbai.

According to Kutch SP S G Malik, main accused Chavan’s arrest from Mandvi followed that of Chaba who was trying to go back to Pakistan via the same sea route when the Lakhapat police found him in suspicious condition. He said the police did not recover any fake Indian currency notes. But they recovered one GPS, one mobile phone, three SIM cards, genuine Indian currency worth Rs 4,600, one Pakistani note of Rs 100 denomination, of photo copies of Chavan’s identity card, a fake driving licence and a half of an UAE currency note worth 10 Dirham.
