PUNE, Nov 7: Two persons were killed and seven were injured when the jeep they were travelling in, dashed against a tree along the Pune-Ahmednagar road at Shikrapur early on Friday.The identities of those killed in the mishap were ascertained as Shankar Krishna Khaire (51) and Ganapat Lahu Shinde (55), the Shikrapur police said. The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital, they said.According to the police, the members of Khaire family were coming toward Pune from Ahmednagar, when the mishap took place. Tukaram Maruti Khaire (25) of Khairenagar was driving the jeep at the time, they added.Stage actor relieved of goodsFilm and stage actor Rahul Solapurkar was relieved of his cellular phone and an electronic diary while he had gone to the Balgandharva Rang Mandir to act in a Marathi drama recently.The Deccan Gymkhana police swung on to the action immediately after the famous actor lodged a complaint with them and arrested Ayub Murtuza Pirzade (20) of Taljai slums. Police claimed that the stolen cellular phone and electronic diary has already been seized from Pirzade.According to the police, Rahul Solapurkar had left his cellular phone and electronic diary in the make-up room of Balgandharva Rang Mandir before appearing on stage. He found the cellular phone and electronic diary stolen after the drama and immediately lodged a first information report with the Deccan Gymkhana police.Office ransacked, cash stolenAjay R Agarwal, a builder from Mumbai, lodged a first information report (FIR) at Hadapsar police station recently, alleging that his office at Gurudatta Complex building near the Gliding Centre was ransacked by his partner and five others.In his complaint, Agarwal has accused his partner Sudhakar Behde, Raju Kumbhar, Ahok Kumbhar and two others of stealing various documents, furniture and cash of Rs 24,350 from his office. Agarwal said in the complaint that Behde and his accomplices forced entry inside his office by breaking the lock on its rear door and digging a hole in its wall. Sudhakar Behde, who is a local builder, and his accomplices were slapped with the dacoity charges after Agarwal lodged the complaint.
