Two murders reported

NEW DELHI, October 11: A 12-year-old boy and an 18-year-old girl were found murdered in two unrelated murder cases reported from different parts of the city yesterday. The girl, Gola, fell victim to her brother Bhim, who reportedly stabbed her in the neck at Badarpur last night. Gola had apparently eloped with Bhim’s brother-in-law, Dharampal (40), a resident of village Adig in district Mathura. On Friday, the two reportedly fled Adig and reached Delhi, where they were putting up with Dharampal’s brother at Shakti Vihar.

Bhim, who was left aghast by the elopement, visited the Shakti Vihar place yesterday after ascertaining his sister’s whereabouts, said the Badarpur police. He was reportedly accompanied by his mother Kina and wife Kamlesh. The family had come to persuade Gola to go with them back to their village, but she was adamant about marrying Dharampal. This enraged Bhim, and he stabbed his sister in the neck with a pair of scissors. A case of murder was registered at the Badarpur police station at the instance of Dharampal’s brother Bhagwan Singh.

A team of police has been reportedly dispatched to Mathura to bring the accused to book. In the other case, a tip-off from a passerby led to the recovery of the dead body of a 12-year-old boy stuffed in a gunny bag from a Vikas Puri septic tank yesterday evening. A piece of cloth was found tied around his neck.

The victim Deepak, a sixth class student and resident of Sai Enclave, Mohan Garden was reportedly missing since Thursday, a fact that had been registered at the Vikas Puri PS by his father, Sant Ram. Preliminary investigations have reportedly made the police suspect two of the victim’s neighbour as the culprits. Personal animosity is believed to have led to the murder. The accused are absconding. A case of murder has been registered.
