Two Naxals gunned down

Two hardcore Naxalites were killed and two others arrested with arms and explosives following a gunbattle in a forest in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district.

The incident took place as an offensive was launched by security personnel against extremists hiding in the forests of Haloor valley in Bhairamgarh block. “A gunbattle broke out when a combing team challenged the extremists. Two rebels were killed and two others held with a cache of explosives,” sources said.
