Two persons of Indian origin were shot dead in a restaurant where they worked in South Richmond in California State, but the motive was not immediately clear.

Two persons of Indian origin were shot dead in a restaurant where they worked in South Richmond in California State, but the motive was not immediately clear.

Ravinder Kalsi, 30, and Paramjit Kalsi, 42, were killed on Thursday by two gunmen in the Indian restaurant, police said.

However, it was unclear whether and how they were related but both worked in the restaurant. There were no customers at the time of shooting.

Police said two men walked into the restaurant around 2100 hours local time and opened fire on them.

Police found the two with gunshot wounds. One of them was dead and the other was airlifted to an area hospital where he later died.
