PATIALA, Oct 16: The government medical college authorities have suspended two students in connection with the clash on the college campus on October 13.

Principal of the medical college Dr Ravinder Pal Kaur said that the action had been taken against the two students on charges of indiscipline. She asserted that there had been no clash on the campus and that only two students, one of the MBBS and another of Pharmacy Department, were engaged in a fight which had left both of them injured. She maintained that none of the two students were admitted to the Government Rajindra hospital.

However, inquiries made by ENS in the emergency department of the Government Rajindra Hospital revealed that two students Mangal Dass and Krishan Kumar had reported in the emergency department on the morning of October 13. One of them, Krishan Kumar was referred to the surgery ward for a scalp injury.

The medical college principal said that the case had been referred to the disciplinary action committee of the college.
