Bhartiya Janshakti Party chief Uma Bharti, who is on an indefinite sit-in in support of Gujjar agitators demanding Scheduled Tribe status for the community, alleged on Friday that the BJP is known for playing with people's sentiments."The BJP is known for playing with the people's sentiments and aspirations as it has failed to fulfil promises made to the electorate before the polls, resulting in such protests," she told reporters in Morena."Instead of finding any solution to the problem, parties like BJP believe in crushing the agitation by firing bullets," the Sanyasin said.Bharti, who was heading to Rajasthan to meet the Gujjar leader Kirori Singh Bainsla and condole the death of those killed in the agitation, began the sit-in on Thursday in a temple near Rajghat bridge over Chambal river after the Rajasthan Police stopped her from entering Bayana town at the border from Morena. The former Madhya Pradesh chief minister, who vowed to continue her sit-in till the agitating Gujjars get justice, has refused to accept food. Morena Collector, who visited the spot has made arrangements for her medical examination. The former Union Minister has also refused the Collector's offer of moving to the Government Rest House following which security has been beefed up at the spot.
