
LUCKNOW, OCT 6: In A major breakthrough, the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh has arrested a Pakistani national, Noor Baksh, involved in the attack on underworld don Chhota Rajan in Bangkok on September 14.
Baksh, an active member of the Dawood Ibrahim gang, was arrested near the passport office in the state capital last evening, UP Director General of Police Mahesh Chandra Dwivedi told mediapersons here today.
A resident of Baluchistan in Pakistan, Baksh was imprisoned twice in Dubai for keeping a fake passport.
The DGP said he had admitted being present at the shoot out in the residence of Rohit Verma in Bangkok, where Chhota Rajan was attacked. He was asked to keep vigil outside the house while others shooters had gone inside the premises to shoot Rajan, the DGP added.
