UT directive on recruitment

CHANDIGARH, Oct 13: The UT Administration has directed all heads of the departments, boards and corporations that besides notifying vacancies for relevant categories (excluding those filled through the Union Public Service Commission) to the Regional Employment Exchange here, they should also arrange for publication in the Employment News, if administrative budgetary convenience permitted.

According to a statement issued here, recruitment notices should be displayed on the office notice board and cases of all applicants should be considered.

The decision has been taken after the scheme of Employment Exchange procedure came under judicial scrutiny of the Supreme Court. This decision, will, however not affect such cases where the process of recruitment through Employment Exchange/Open Advertisement has already been initiated.
