Doing a U-turn exactly a year after, the woman, who accused former Uttaranchal minister and senior Congress leader Hari Singh Rawat of having raped her, today dismissed as ‘‘lies’’ the charges she had levelled against him.

‘‘The charges levelled against Rawat are a lie. I was not raped,’’ Jenny told Aaj Tak and wanted him to be taken back into the Ministry.

‘‘It was said in the state Assembly that Rawat would be taken back into the Ministry after completion of the CBI probe. I desire he is taken back as minister,’’ she said.

Jenny had first made the allegation against Rawat on June 18 last year and he resigned from the Ministry on the same day prompting the N.D. Tiwari Government to order a CBI probe. The CBI submitted its report to a court here last month but its content has not yet been made public.
