Date of SSC typing exam changed
The Examination Secretary of the State Secondary Education Board has stated that the date for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) typing exam has been changed from April 2 to April 6 in view of the public holiday on Good Friday on April 2. Students concerned, convenors of typing institutes and examination convenors are requested to take note of the change.
Inspection
Lieutenant General Vijay Oberoi, general office commanding-in-chief of Army Training Command, carried out the annual training inspection of Electrical Mechanical Engineering School here on Tuesday. During the inspection, he was briefed about the aims and objectives of EME and its past achievements. Lt-Gen Oberoi and his wife left for New Delhi in the afternoon by a special Air Force aircraft.
Phone adalat
The office of the Vadodara Telecom District will organise a Telephone Adalat on March 31. Cases older than six months will be heard at the adalat. No hearing of cases heard earlier or those admitted in the court will be held. Those interested in participating in the adalat are requested to submit their appeals to the office of the Vadodara Telecom District at Karelibaug by March 18.
Road closed
The northward section of the Dandia Bazaar main road, used for travelling from Lakdi Pol to Nyay Mandir, will be closed for vehicular traffic between March 18 and May 20 (not March 20) as the VMC will undertake work regarding drainage lines on the stretch. Vehicle owners have been requested to make use of the Rajmahal Road as an alternative route.
GEB transfers
The GEB on Tuesday transferred five executive engineers to the 210 MW power plant coming up at Wanakbori. According to sources, 20 others of the ranks of junior engineers and deputy engineers have been also transferred from other power stations.
