
VMC appeal to citizens
As part of the ongoing Anti-Malaria Month, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has appealed to citizens to help in keeping the city free from situations which leads to the breeding of mosquitoes, according to an official spokesman.
IIMM courses
A two-year Graduate Diploma in Materials Management and a three-year Post- Graduate diploma in Materials Management is being organised by the Vadodara branch of the Indian Institute of Material Management. Classes for GDMM will be held at the Institute premises from 6 pm-8pm from Monday to Friday. Interested applicants have to pass the Aptitude test to be conducted by the Institute on June 27. The prospectus for both courses can be obtained on paying Rs 100 at the office or by DD from IIMM, Vishal Chambers, 2nd floor, Vishwas Colony, Alkapuri.

The Pramukswami Hospital located at Old Padra road, Baroda has been awarded the "Best Managed Hospital" title for the year 1998-99 by Baroda Management Association (BMA) on May 29. Established in 1992 the hospital extends its services to people from Padra, Jambusar, Amod, Karjan, Baroda District and also its southern urban parts. The hospital provides treatment at concessional rates. It is clean, and has a medical store on its premises as an additional feature.
Free stationery
The Blind Welfare Council will distribute free notebooks and stationery to blind children at its office at 47/A, Middle Class Society, Fatehganj on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Cassette launch
Retired Officer’s Forum’s souvenir and cassettes of the National Seminar on Alternative System of Healing and cultural programme will be released at a function to be organised by the Forum at Yoganiketan, Fatehganj on Friday at 6 p.m.
