Court orders ex-MC to pay up
The City Civil Court on Thursday directed to deduct Rs 500 each from the salaries of former Municipal Commissioner Vilasini Ramachandran, Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Administration) H S Patel and another civic officer for contempt of court. The order follows an application filed by Gordhanbhai Trikamdas and 140 others, cabin-holders in Lehripura, who stated that their cabins had been demolished — over a year ago — by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) despite a stay.

Yoga classes from March 1
Regular monthly batches of yoga classes based on the Pantanjali Yoga Shastra will be conducted at the Arogya Mandir, Ellora Park from March 1 from 6.30 to 7.30 am and 6 to 7 pm. Special classes for women will be conducted from 8.30 to 9.30 am and 4 to 5 pm. Registration forms will be available at the Arogya Mandir office, opp Saibaba Temple, Atmajyoti Ahsram Road, Ellora Park from 9 am to noon and 4 to 7 pm.

Adventure camps at Himalayas
More than 1,000 vanwasis from various parts of Gujarat, particularly Dahod and Panchmahals, attended a vanwasi convention organised at the Swaminarayan Temple, Atladara on Wednesday.
