GANDHINAGAR, July 14: In a rare display of transperancy of the administration, Gujarat Chief Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela today handed over important documents pertaining to the small power projects agreement to Leader of the Opposition Suresh Mehta. This gesture of Vaghela was in connection with serious allegation of corruption levelled by Mehta against the government in the agreement.Mehta had demanded that if the chief minister handed over the relevant documents of the agreement, he would be able to prove the corruption and irregularities. The chief minister had invited Mehta to his chamber in the Sachivalay today to offer the documents.Later, talking to mediapersons, the chief minister asserted that the government was stable and would complete its term with the support of Congress. Vaghela said that some state Congress leaders were unhappy on the issue of recent changes made by the government in the Urban Land Ceiling Act. Vaghela said that all doubts were cleared now and yesterday he had a dinner meeting with Congress observer Sheela Dixit, PCC chief Prabodh Rawal and leader of CLP Amarsinh Chaudhary. He said that response to the government was positive.
