NEW DELHI, MARCH 4: Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has convened a meeting of leaders of NDA constituents on Monday to discuss ways of sorting out the opposition demand for a censure discussion on RSS controversy in a bid to break the week-long standoff in Lok Sabha. The meeting, second in less than a week, assumes significance as at the meeting last week the allies failed to come out with a categorical assurance that they would support the government on a Congress-sponsored censure motion on the RSS controversy. The occasion will also be used by the allies to take up with the Prime Minister their demand for rollback of prices of urea, fertilisers and essential commodities under Public Distribution System following the budget decision to cut food and fertiliser subsidies. The allies have opposed the subsidy cut.The government may take the opportunity to ensure allies' support in Parliament which is likely to be rocked next week on the Bihar issue, NDA sources said.Sources said Speaker G M C Balayogi is likely to convene a meeting on Monday of all Parliamentary party leaders, which may also go into the Bihar issue besides RSS.
