Venkat ‘confesses’, says he shot business rival

Further embarrassing former PCC president K Keshava Rao his son Venkat has in a surprise confession reportedly admitted to killing his business partner Prashanth Reddy.

Venkat, who was under CID custody till Friday, confessed to having shot Prashanth following a dispute over a real estate deal. The CID submitted his confessional statement to the court on Saturday morning.

As expected, Keshava Rao vehemently denied that Venkat gave any such statement and accused the CID of trying to indict his son in the case. Venkat’s advocate too disputed the CID’s claim.

The confession has raised doubts over the authenticity of the Gun Shot Residue Report (GSR) report.
