Prime Minister A.B. Vajpayee and Home Minister L.K. Advani attracted ridicule from Parivar members, VHP and the Bajrang Dal, here today for being high on words and low on action in combating Pak-sponsored terrorism.

VHP chief V.H. Dalmia and Bajrang Dal convenor Surendra Jain recalled that Vajpayee and Advani had made loud statements in Parliament over terrorism. However, the situation on the ground remained the same.

‘‘From the Dec 13 attack on Parliament to the May 14 attack in Jammu, no concrete action has been taken…. Their actions don’t

match their words,’’ they charged.

Jain underlined that ‘‘no words can suffice now. Only Agni and Prithvi missiles can do the needful.’’ The Bajrang Dal would stage demonstrations at all state capitals from May 18-20 to press for decisive action against Pakistan, they said.

They warned Vajpayee that if the present situation persisted for some more time, the people of the country would lost faith in his government. Dalmia demanded that the Army be given a free hand to teach a lesson to Pakistan. Jain, on the other hand, called for an immediate attack on Pakistan to regain control of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK).
