Vincent’s, Bishop’s champs

PUNE, Sept 30: Hosts St Vincent’s and Bishops became the first teams to engrave their names on the glittering Fr Barco Inter-Schools football trophies.

In the finals at The Bishop’s School ground, Vincent’s notched a solitary- goal win over St Paul’s, Belgaum, in the under-14 section while Bishop’s pipped Loyola High School in the under-16 final 4-1 via the penalty shoot-out after the teams failed to break the deadlock in regulation time.

Hariday Sethi scored the match-winner for Vincent’s.

Ajankya Hange, Anup Soans, Anand Pettie, Aditya Kelsikar scored for Bishop’s while only Sebi Karuth could find the target for Loyola High School.
