His arresting looks catch one’s eye. Yudishter, Channel V VJ, is in control of his shows (Virtual V and V Jobshop) and his life.

He believes in “hope, dreams, aspirations, and a force.” Life, he says “is what you make it.”

What you have is a man who exudes confidence, strength and enormous energy. Yudishter is one of the new band of Channel V VJ’s.

Age?
All of twenty-five.( born on November 24, 1974) n Married? Not yet.

On his education.
I was a pampered boy and was set to a boarding school, in Bangalore. I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce because my father wanted me to. From 12, I was interested in acting and used to ape Big B. Theatre and drama fascinated me.

How did Channel V happen?
I used to compere stage shows and had done some ad films in the South. Then, I heard about the Channel V VJ hunt. I auditioned and was selected.

How did your parents react?
My father asked me who was a VJ. There were some initial whys and hows but now its OK.

And your friends?
They always told me I did not belong to Bangalore and I must go to Mumbai. When I became a VJ, they were happy for me.

What kind of person are you actually?
A pretty down-to-earth kind. I do not have airs, nor am I pompous. Actually, I am shy and take a lot of time to make friends.

Are you religious?
This black thread on my wrist was give to me by my mother and I believe in her which is why I am wearing it.

Your favourite food ?
Dal, chapati and rajma which I can eat anytime. I love pani-puri.

The clothes you like to wear…
I love clothes and at one point of time wanted to become a fashion designer. Never one to go for brands, I buy clothes for comfort. I don’t care if I buy them from the roadside — just as long as I like them.

On the influence VJ’s have on the youth.
It is good as long as the influence is in the right direction.

Any pearls of wisdom?
You get only one chance to live. Make the most of it. Be somebody more than who you started out as.

How do you handle all the adulation from the fairer sex?
It is not how many women love you, it is how you love that one woman.

How do you look at VJing?
It is more of a a chance to find out who I am and what I want. I have never been starstruck because I have always believed I am better than the guy there.

What next?
I want to do screenplays and maybe act someday.
