
Doctors at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital on Wednesday said the condition of All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary and former Union Sports Minister Mukul Wasnik was stable. “He is conscious and out of danger now,” hospital sources said.
Dr V P Singh, senior consultant in the Neurosurgery Department, and his team conducted a cerebral angioplasty procedure on Tuesday, which according to the doctors has been a success. “The clot dissolving agent has worked well and his condition is stable now,” said a doctor.
The doctors said further surgical interventions would depend on Wasnik’s condition. “At present, it is important to keep a close observation on his condition,” they added. Wasnik was admitted to the hospital on Monday evening after he suffered a brain haemorrhage.
