Chill is creeping back into Sino-Indian diplomacy, and it looks like India’s turn to turn the knife in. It has not only opened the doors to high-level political contact with Taiwan by deciding to host the Kuomintang Chairman next month, it’s now learnt that the South Block official in-charge of China was in Dharamsala over the weekend for talks with the Dalai Lama. Nothing irritates Beijing more than the quiet stoking of the Tibet issue by India, and to add, the Taiwan engagement. What next? Let’s not forget the Prime Minister is slated to visit China later this year.
