Kings XI Punjab skipper Yuvraj Singh said on Friday night that his team needs to make improvement in fielding department if they are to fancy their chances of reaching the final of the Indian Premier League.

Speaking to media-persons after his team beat Deccan Chargers by six wickets in an exciting encounter in their home ground Mohali, Yuvraj said, “We need to sort out our fielding. This is something we are going to have a chat (among us).” He said he was not happy about a few sloppy stops shown by some players, which cost the team a few extra runs.

“We have to improve fielding if we have to go to the final,” he said. Yuvraj said he was happy that his team had registered another win in the tournament and it had been made possible due to a very good start from the openers Shaun Marsh and Kumar Sangakkara.

Sangakkara struck a 25-ball 50 on his return after being out of action for two weeks on account of an injury.

“The way Sangakkara has shown lot of discipline, the way he has been preparing himself during the past two weeks with his rehabilitation and workouts needs to be appreciated,” he said.

Marsh, who also addressed the media with Yuvraj, said he was enjoying every bit of the competition and he would like to work hard and keep winning matches for his team.

IPL has been a good learning curve for me,” said the 24-year-old Australian, who has impressed everyone with his match-winning knocks in the competition.
