GUWAHATI, NOVEMBER, 13: Indian skipper Sachin Tendulkar today said his team would go all out to win despite being comfortably ahead 2-1 in the five-match Pepsi Cup cricket series against New Zealand.

"We will put that extra effort and not take our opponents lightly", Tendulkar told reporters after nets. When asked whether the team was comfortably placed, he said the series was still wide open and there was no time to relax.

Asked to comment on the upcoming series "Down Under against Australia, the Indian batting sensation said, "we play series by series".

Coach Kapil Dev said the wicket at the Nehru Stadium was "very good and a typical one-day wicket. "But in this part of the country the weather is slightly different as light tends to fadefast in the evening", he said. Asked about the composition of the team, the former all-rounder said it would be decided "when we sit with the selectors, and you will know prior to the match.”

“We have come here to win and would like to score 550 runs or more", Kapil joked when a reporter asked him what would be a comfortable score for the Indians.

The former captain said even if senior players were rested, the others were talented enough to see the side through.

Meanwhile, match referee Ranjan Madugalle expressed his annoyance with the disruption of matches owing to crowd invasion. “In every innings of the match that have been played so far we have lost around four minutes because of crowd trouble and specially movement in front of the side screen,” he said.

Both the teams have agreed to reduce the lunchtime to half-an-hour. “The first session will be between 08:45 to 12:15 hours and the lunch period between 12:15-12:45 hours," Madugalle said.
