2G scam: Jaya takes on Cong,says probe going Bofors way

This clearly shows the Congress,for the sake of its ally DMK,is prepared to destabilise every constitutional authority in the country.

After singling out regional rival DMK on 2G spectrum all along,opposition leader J Jayalalithaa on Thursday attacked the Congress,alleging the investigations into the scam were increasingly looking like the inconclusive Bofors probe.

This is the first time the AIADMK took on the Congress directly over the scam,after several overt and covert signals by the principal opposition party in the state to woo the Congress away from the DMK-led alliance.

Jaya said by publicly criticising the CAG over its findings on the loss due to underselling of precious spectrum,Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal was trying every trick in his attorneys handbook in a desperate attempt to pull the wool over peoples eyes.

Targeting the Congress-DMK alliance,the AIADMK leader said the investigations seemed to be heading in the right direction,but everything changed after Prime Minister Manmohan Singhs visit to Chennai on January 2.
