All the three accused in the alleged gangrape of 30-year-old American tourist have been arrested.
Identified as Lucky,Arjun and Som Bahadur,aged between 19 and 25,the accused had gone into hiding abandoning the truck used in the crime at Dongri near Manali.
Two of them were arrested last night after the police conducted raids in Manali and the third was arrested early this morning from Mandi, said IGP (Law and Order) Sanjay Kundu. The police said the three accused,including the truck driver,are originally from Nepal and have settled down in Manali.
Early Tuesday,the US national had asked for a lift from the truck driver,who,along with his two accomplices,raped her. She was dropped at the Manali bus stand following which lodged a complaint with the Manali police station.
Kullu SP Vinod Dhawan said,They will be produced before the court for remand. The victim is likely to be asked to identify the suspects.
