The dissent in Chhattisgarh BJP aggravated after powerful leader and niece of former Prime Minister A B Vajpayee,Karuna Shukla,resigned from the party on Saturday alleging the organisation is being run by a bunch of powerful people. She attacked the state government for showing favouritism to a selected few.
Powerful people have taken over the organisation. Only a few leaders are running the party, she said Saturday. She said the BJP is no longer the party of Atal-Advani and she was feeling insulted. She faxed her resignation to party president Rajnath Singh. A member of the BJPs national executive Shukla wanted to contest this years Assembly polls but was denied a ticket.
