ABG Shipyard bags Rs 2,000 cr order from Drilling & Offshore

Following this export order the total ABG's order book stands at over USD 3.25 bn.

Private shipbuilding company ABG Shipyard Ltd said it has bagged a Rs 2,000 crore order from Drilling & Offshore Pte Ltd for building of two rigs.

“ABG Shipyard Ltd has bagged orders worth USD 440 mn (Rs 2,000 crore approximately) from Drilling & Offshore Pte Ltd,” an official statement said.

“This order is for building two rigs with water depth and drilling depth capacity of 30,000 ft,it added.

As per the order,these rigs are designed and developed for year-round Gulf of Mexico and 50-year return period North Sea environment in accordance with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) assessment criteria.

Following this export order the total ABG’s order book stands at over USD 3.25 bn (Rs 14,500 crore approximately).
