Aditya Vij is Fortis Healthcare CEO

Vij has worked with General Motors for 18 years across five countries in Europe and Asia.

Fortis Healthcare (India) said on Monday that it has appointed former head of General Motors India,Aditya Vij as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company with effect from July 5.

Prior to this,Vij was working with Punj Lloyd where he held the position of Group President -Defence,Fortis Healthcare (India) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Prior to working with Punj Lloyd,Vij has worked with General Motors for 18 years across five countries in Europe and Asia,it added.

Shares of Fortis Healthcare (India) were on Monday trading at Rs 163.20 on the BSE in late afternoon trade,up 1.21 per cent from its previous close.
