Terming L K Advani as a reluctant fighter being used as a stop-gap arrangement by suitors to the post of Prime Minister, former RSS pracharak Govindacharya on Wednesday said that despite all the publicity blaze the BJPs PM candidate himself wants to live a peaceful, happy and serene life, like the one late Madhu Limaye lived.
Briefing reporters in the company of leaders of the Mahagujarat Janata Party (made up of BJP rebels),Govindacharya, however, did not say if he favoured Narendra Modi as Advanis replacement.
The one-time BJP think-tank,who was in town to deliver a lecture to mark Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyayas death anniversary, also hit out at power hungry smaller parties.
Predicting a hung Parliament,he advocated an alliance between the BJP and Congress to ensure post-poll political stability instead of giving a chance to smaller outfits seeking their pound of flesh.
Govindacharya said value-based politics would have to be brought back and therefore, there was no supremo in
his Rashtravadi Morcha, which would support like-minded groups during the upcoming elections.
He said he was in touch with 125 out of 400 registered political parties,Mahagujarat Janata Party being one of them. His Morcha will not contest the elections, but support chosen political parties and work as the facilitator.
About the BJP,he said it had degenerated from a party of workers to party of candidates.
