Music composer Anu Malik has decided not to explore any legal options against the composer or filmmakers of Ready who he had alleged of lifting the entire tune of one of his songs.
Anu Malik stated,This composer is known for lifting tunes. But Bhushan Kumar,the producer of the film,is a very good family friend and I respect him a lot. He has time and again done good work for the film industry. Director Anees Bazmee and Salman Khan are also my dear friends. Since so many of my friends are involved with this project (Ready),I prefer not to harm anyone and hence I have decided not to raise this issue any further. Moreover,the industry needs a big hit at this point of time. So I wish the film all success.
He further adds that,It feels great to know that some people are still relying on Anu Maliks tunes and style to give the world a hit song.
The composer was troubled when Pritam Chakraborty copied the tune of his song,Mohabaat naam hai from the film Ajnabee for the Character dheela hai number featuring Salman Khan and Zarine Khan in Ready.
Meanwhile,when contacted Bhushan Kumar,had this to say. Since both Anu Malik and Pritam have composed thousands of songs till date,there are bound to be similarities. Basically the raags are the same. Anu Malik came to my office recently and we had a talk. Now everything has been sorted out and we are going ahead with the song in the film.
