Woman attacked with blade in Mangolpuri

New Delhi: An 18-year-old woman was attacked with a blade by motorcycle-borne men in Mangolpuri,Outer Delhi,police said. She was the ninth victim to be attacked in this manner in the last three months. Police said the woman suffered injuries in the neck,following which she was taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital. She was standing near her house at N-Block when two men on a motorcycle approached her. The pillion rider apparently whipped out a knife and slit her neck. The two then fled from the spot, said a senior police officer.

Missing teacher found murdered in Haryana

New Delhi: A 32-year-old primary school teacher,who went missing two days ago,was found murdered in Sapla village,Haryana,on Friday night. The victim,Vijay,was last seen with his colleague,Arvind Azad (25),who had hosted a lunch party in the premises of an MCD school on Wednesday. Vijay was unwell and refused to eat anything. Azad brought fruit juice for him. After consuming the juice,he started vomiting and Azad took him to a nearby nursing home, said V Renganathan,DCP (West). The nursing home staff confirmed that the two left after taking medicines never to be seen again. Police are still looking for Azad.

CNG price goes up by 30 paise

NEW DELHI: Due to marginal adjustment in the selling price of CNG in Delhi,the Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) on Saturday announced an increase of 30 paise per kg in the consumer price of CNG in the Capital; and 35 paise per kg in Noida,Greater Noida and Ghaziabad.
