Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta,IGP (Law and Order),has been transferred as IGP (Training and Armed Police). No officer has been named to replace him. Pallab Bhattacharyya,IGP (Central & Western Range),who is also in charge of Guwahati City, has been transferred as IGP (Special Branch).
