Three persons drowned in the Yamuna while immersing Ganesh idols on Saturday. Rescue officials of the Revenue department said they had recovered three bodies and another person had been rescued.
They said they got a call at 3.42 pm,informing them about two boys drowning at Burai Bandh. The bodies of Rahul (13) and Pankaj (11) were recovered later. At 6.03 pm,people at Sonia Vihar Pushta told officials that three persons had drowned in the Yamuna. Only one dead body was recovered from the area. The man was identified as Kamal (18).
Another boy was rescued at the Wazirabad Shamshan Ghat at 4.45 pm.
