Bajaj Finserv Q4 net profit doubles

Financial services provider Bajaj Finserv reported a two-fold increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 872.58 crore for the quarter ended March 31,2011.

Financial services provider Bajaj Finserv today reported a two-fold increase in its consolidated net profit to Rs 872.58 crore for the quarter ended March 31,2011.

The company had a net profit of Rs 433.58 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

Total income of the group doubled to Rs 1,317.28 crore in the fourth quarter,against Rs 652.46 crore in the same quarter of the previous year,Bajaj Finserv said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Besides,for the year-ended March 31,2011,net profit of the group doubled to Rs 1,114.84 crore as compared to Rs 554.53 crore in the year-ago period.

On an annual basis,the group’s total income more than doubled to Rs 2,444.57 crore as against Rs 985.41 crore in the previous year.

The company’s Board has recommended a dividend of Rs 1.25 (25 per cent) per share.

Bajaj Finserv shares closed down 0.28 per cent to Rs 495.50 from their previous close on the BSE.
