Stocks have risen as much as 2 per cent as investors looked to benefit from fallen-from-highs stocks.

European shares extended gains in morning session on Wednesday,with banking and commodity shares bouncing back after steep declines in the previous session.

At 0751 GMT,the FTSEurofirst 300 index of top European shares was up 1.9 percent at 968.17 points after rising to a high of 969.59 earlier in the day and falling to a nine-month low in the previous session.
