A war has broken out on social media over the IAC Facebook page. The page managed by a rebel faction disappeared overnight. The new IAC page,Final War Against Corruption,managed by Team Kejriwal,which had 66,000 odd likes till Monday now has 4,75,707 likes and is counting.
The rebel faction alleges strings may have been pulled to circumvent Facebook policy that says a smaller page may be merged into a bigger page.
Shivendra Singh Chouhan,who managed the missing Facebook page and Janlokpal twitter handle,had refused to hand over either during a bitter parting of ways in March. I got to know from a friend that the IAC Facebook page has ceased to exist…That page had more than five lakh likes and ever since it disappeared the likes on FWAC page are increasing. I have complained to Facebook, Chouhan said.
